INS Mormugao successfully carried out engagement of a sea-skimming supersonic target. Mormugao is an Indian Navy guided-missile destroyer of the Visakhapatnam class. It is equipped with advanced weapons systems capable of engaging various types of targets. INS Mormugao is also capable of engaging sea-skimming supersonic targets. Engaging a sea-skimming supersonic target requires advanced anti-air warfare capabilities. INS Mormugao successfully carried out the engagement demonstrating the ship's effectiveness. This marks another symbol of 'Aatmanibharta' and the Indian Navy's firepower at the sea. Mormugao is 'state of the art' weapons, sensors such as Surface to Surface Missile and Surface to Air Missiles.
