Sep 18, 2023
New Delhi, September 18 (ANI): Today is a historic day, as India will witness the last day of House proceedings in the Old Parliament building. Discussion on ‘Parliamentary Journey of 75 years starting from Samvidhan Sabha- Achievements, Experiences, Memories, Learnings’ will be held. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi requested all party leaders for their active cooperation and support. Union Minister also informed that discussions will begin in Old Parliament on Sept 18 and then MPs will move to the new Sansad Bhavan. Eight bills have been listed for consideration and passage during the 5-day special session of the Parliament. Ahead of the Special Session of the Parliament, an all-party meeting was held in the national capital. The announcement of the Special Session came as a surprise as political parties gear up for assembly polls in five states later this year. The Special Parliament Session will commence on September 18 and will conclude on September 22. On September 17, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar hoisted the national flag at the new Parliament building.
