Shopian (J&K), Aug 23 (ANI): Child Care Institute ‘One Stop Centre for Women’ is helping poor girl students of far-flung areas in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. The Centre has been established under the GoI’s Ministry of Women and Child Development. The main purpose is to impart good and better quality education to the girls for a better future in society. Presently, 14 girl students from remote areas of the Shopian district are enrolled at this centre. They are being provided with all facilities including education and other types of facilities. While talking to ANI, District Social welfare officer Shopian Showket Ahmad said, “As far as this children’s home is concerned around 40 children can be accommodated with full facilities including boarding and lodging with all educational facilities and presently 14 girl students are enrolled here and registration process is underway. He also says that this is an initiative for poor children who are in need of education and nutrition. Students lauded this step taken by the centre and JK administration as they were lacking these facilities as they belong to far-flung areas of Shopian.
