PoJK Repression Protest in Bradford
Jul 15, 2026
Bradford, UK \ PoJK, 15 July 2026: - Day by day, in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan and its military are accused of increasingly targeting the peaceful local population with repression and abuses. In response to these alleged injustices, exiled leaders have continued their struggle and campaign. The protest by Kashmiri nationalist leaders outside the Pakistani Consulate in Bradford continued, with demonstrators accusing Pakistan of intensifying military repression in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The demonstrators claimed that Pakistan is attempting to suppress a peaceful public movement through force, but maintained that such efforts would not succeed. According to the protesters, the increasing military presence is aimed at intimidating the local population rather than addressing their concerns. The protesters also urged the Pakistani authorities to pursue dialogue instead of force, warning that continued violence would only deepen tensions in the region. They said lasting peace and security could only be achieved through negotiations, not military action or the killing of civilians. The complete shutdown across Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir reflected widespread public support for the movement and appealed to the international community to take serious notice of the situation and play a more active role in protecting human rights in the region.
