India was introspective earlier, it's voice heard much widely today: Tony Abbott

New Delhi, Nov 19 (ANI): Former Australian prime minister Tony Abbott said that India has come a long way from being introspective to having its voice heard much widely on the world stage today under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Being asked about his views on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Tony Abbott said, "I think it is a long time since India has been effective at world stage as it is currently under Prime Minister Modi. I think for a long time, India was fairly introspective. Yes, it was colossus of subcontinent, but beyond it's own region, India tended to take a pretty low key approach to things. I think in an uplifting, decent and humane way, PM Modi is making India's voice much more widely felt around the world". Abbott also said that India has all the credentials to be permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
