Wall Street closes higher as Treasury yields ease, oil prices stabilize

New York [US], October 7: Major US stock indexes closed higher on Tuesday, supported by lower US Treasury yields and stabilising oil prices.
The S&P 500 gained 46.52 points, or 0.60 percent, to close at 7,820.47, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 127.43 points, or 0.46 percent, to 27,604.74.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 263.67 points, or 0.49 percent, to finish at 51,531.57.
