Four couples get engaged at Hoang Dũng's concert with nearly 10,000 attendees

Mar 29, 2026

Seoul [South Korea], March 29: Starting from small stages, Hoang Dũng can now confidently stand in front of nearly 10,000 spectators at his Xoay Tronconcert in Ho Chi Minh City. That persistent journey was told through music, with nearly 30 songs performed throughout the night, leaving a lasting impression.
On the evening of March 28, singer Hoang Dũng held his Xoay Tron concert in Ho Chi Minh City. Expanding in scale after the success of his first concert in Hanoi at the end of 2025, the second show gathered around 9,800 attendees, becoming the largest concert of his career so far. Over more than three hours, the singer, along with guest artists Rhymastic, GREY D, Minh Tốc & Lam, delivered 26 emotional performances.
A 250,000 VND paycheck that fueled a musical dream
Hoang Dũng opened with the song Đoi Mươi, bringing the audience into the vibrant atmosphere of youth. He then performed three tracks from his latest album: La Ban, Sao Giờ Em Mới Tới, and Cuối Tuần, accompanied by professional choreography.
He continued with romantic compositions about love such as Thoi Quen, Tach, and Lý Giải. Speaking about Lý Giải-a song released just before the concert-Hoang Dũng shared that it was written for his wife and also revealed the "good news" that he has been married for six years. Sweet moments from his wedding with Khanh Linh were shown on the big screen during this special performance.
Before moving to the second part, the audience revisited Hoang Dũng's musical journey. Few people know that before becoming a beloved singer, he was a student at the Foreign Trade University in Hanoi. He pursued music during his student years, performing at cafes for a fee of just 250,000 VND per night. For him, that amount held special meaning-not only helping cover meals but also serving as the "lifeline" that nurtured his musical dream.
He shared: "Being able to stand here today and talk to everyone comes from those simple, carefree days. Without that time, I might not be the artist who is lucky enough to stand before thousands of people today."
Hoang Dũng considers himself lucky
In the third part of the concert, Hoang Dũng performed the introspective song Bức Tranh Va Canh Chim, playing the piano himself and accompanied by a 25-member choir. During Ba Mươi Cai Chớp Mắt, he opened up about the "crisis of turning 30."
He said that turning 30 made him realize how many valuable things he needs to protect. At this stage, having more to love also means having more fears-fear of loss, fear of not being able to reciprocate love, and many other worries.
"That's how we grow and mature. I'm not sure I'm fully mature yet, but I've experienced that phase through this song. We don't live to chase perfection-sometimes imperfections make us appreciate life more," he shared.
Hoang Dũng closed the concert with four songs: Phonecert, Sâm-panh, and a medley of Nep Vao Anh Va Nghe Anh Hatand Bữa Tiệc Của Giac Quan.
At the end, he stayed on stage for a long time, bowing to thank his fans for accompanying him and helping create an unforgettable milestone. He said that in that moment, he felt like a lucky person.
He once shared that if he hadn't pursued music, he might have lived a normal life-working office hours and taking care of loved ones. But after "tasting the stage," he could never leave it behind.
"I've spent 10 years on music, and now I know I would be very sad if I couldn't be an artist standing here singing my songs. Thank you everyone. I hope this moment lasts forever," he said.
