262 Bangladeshis return home from UAE

Dhaka (Bangladesh), May 31: Another batch of 262 Bangladesh nationals, stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to travel restrictions enforced amidst the coronavirus pandemic, have returned home.
A special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, carrying the passengers from Dubai, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 4:30am on Sunday.
TaheraKhandaker, deputy general manager (public relations) of the airlines, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
Earlier on May 27, 214 Bangladeshis returned home from the UAE by a special Air Arabia flight.
Covid-19, a severe acute respiratory illness caused by a new strain of coronavirus, has claimed 262 lives and infected 33,896 people in the UAE as of Sunday, according to Worldometer.
